YREN's 25th Anniversary

We would like to invite you to YREN's 25th Anniversary celebratory event which will take place on Wednesday 14th June at Tang Hall Community Centre, Fifth Avenue, York, YO31 0UG.

The event is kindly being hosted by 'Yourcafe' between 11am and 4pm. Refreshments will be provided; in addition if you would like to contribute a dish to share from your country of origin, it would be very welcome.

We are also looking for volunteers to help out on the day with duties such as setting up the hall and clearing away at the end of the event, and with providing your valued skills and talents, for example: musical entertainment; dance performance; Indian head massage; henna body art; arts and craft activities; and any other activities or demonstrations that you may be able to offer.

If you are able to support this event, please contact ritasanderson@yren.co.uk . This will be an exciting and enjoyable day to mark 25 years of YREN. Families and friends are all very welcome to attend.

Although open to all, the project particularly aims to benefit older Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) people and those new to the City of York, including refugees, for whom social exclusion and loneliness are known to present a particular challenge.
